He was born July 9, 1956, the son of Dorothy T. Bell and London Bell. Norman graduated from Loy Norrix High School and also attended Grand Valley State University. He was employed at Checker Motors, and later retired from their after 25 years. Norman was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bell; his father, London Bell; stepmother, Emma Wilson-Bell; 2 brothers, Harold and Edward; 4 sisters, Barbara, Leota Wyatt, Shirley Moore and Sharon. Norman leaves to cherish his memories: his only child, Lakeyta Bell; siblings: Leroy, Donald, Leon, Gilbert, David, Florence Ayers and Reva (Walter) Woodard of Kalamazoo; Charlene Abercrombie of Detroit; Ella Bell and Shirley Bell Wright of Louisiana; and Fannie Bell of Texas.
