There he started to work for Film Technologies Inc. He worked there for 5 years. James was a quiet, loving person, Husband and Father. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. After he and his wife moved back to Michigan in December 2005, they soon adopted one of their grandsons; Carson Van Snyder-Hooker. James Leonard Hooker leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Yvonne Hooker of Benton Harbor, Michigan; son, Christopher Jerome Hooker of Kalamazoo, Michigan; 4 grandchildren, which includes Carson Van Snyder-Hooker; father, Alphonso Hooker Jr.; sister, Nicole Emma Cherie Hooker; Niece, Nendra Thompson; nephew, Demario Hooker, and a host of nieces and nephews; Also, 2 sisters Elizabeth and Mary of Racine, WI; 1 brother William ("Billy") of Flint, MI; 1 brother Jimmy of Benton Harbor, MI and 1 brother of Racine, WI; 3 uncles and one uncle of Trenton, Tennessee.
