Obituary:
Anthony Turner Hensley (Ethridge) also lovingly known as "Boo" to his mother, went home to God Tuesday, July 13 2010. He was born September 13, 1992 to Rhonda Hensley in Chicago, IL. Anthony accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was baptized January 2, 2005 at The Galilee Baptist Church. He attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 2010 from Kalamazoo Central High School. He participated in a variety of school activities, that included Kalamazoo Central High School's Marching Band, Theatre Arts and was also a member of Kalamazoo Central's Track Team. Anthony's goals after graduation from high school were to pursue a career in Automotive Engineering, designing cars. His plan was to start his college education at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and then transfer to Western Michigan University. Anthony had several hobbies he enjoyed which included writing poetry, performing, singing and he also loved to dance. He was known for his playful personality and sense of humour, that he inherited from his family. He also had a loving nature about him. Family was very important to Anthony and he was very family oriented. It was always a "family get-together" everyday for him because that's how much he loved spending quality time with his family. His smiles, his love, his hugs and his presence will forever and always be missed. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Carrie Jordan-Hensley and his grandfather, Del Hart. Anthony leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Rhonda and Anthony Ethridge of Kalamazoo, MI; his sister Jessica Chennel Hensley and his brother, Tyrone Ethridge both of Kalamazoo, MI; his niece, Kaliyah Hensley; his nephew, Melrose Hensley IV; grandmother, Dorothy Hart of Chicago, IL; grandfather, Melrose Hensley Sr., of Benton Harbor, MI; 2 aunts, Eva Jordan of Greensboro, NC and Andrea Seahorn of Flint; great aunt, Jerry Moret of Chicago, Il; uncles, Ivan Keith Seahorn of Texas; his uncles, Robert L. White ("Uncle Butch") of Kalamazoo, MI; Melrose ("Uncle Mel") Hensley III of Chicago, IL; and Uncle Drummond Jordan of Kalamazoo, MI; and a host of cousins and friends; Also, a very special friend, Dinka Rodriguez-Alvarez of Chile.
